All these combined with a high degree of operational complexity to provide basic vessel management functions such as crew changes.
2023 has seen a gradual upturn in market conditions and Admiral has positioned itself to respond to increased market need as work profiles move into more general areas in Western Africa. With an increase in tempo to operations over the latter part of 2022 and into 2023, we have successfully mobilised most of our fleet from Nigeria and are now working as far afield as Mozambique.
Since the start of 2023, we have conducted a total of 350 days on time charter with Avery, Hawkins and Monck, whilst allowing for a period of maintenance work alongside through July and into August.
We are looking ahead to fleet renewal in 2024 with the intent to bring new tonnage to the market, having worked hard to position ourselves for long term time charter work. We have had zero days lost to HSSE incident during this period, despite working in some port areas where local teams have displayed an indifferent approach to risk averse working. This is a credit to the team management and crew that we continue to operate to an extremely high industry standard through these difficult times.
